Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:The individual will work closely with other Lab Leads, Engineering staff, and Technicians within the Effector RF Products Team to ensure the directorate's Engineering Labs operate within established company policy and provide hardware development support to program teams.This position works closely with all levels of leadership in multiple organizations as well as managing lab utilization across various projects. As a member of the team, this position will lead day-to-day operation requirements in Engineering Labs, with particular focus on compliance, improvement, and program support. The Lab Lead owns the quality and performance of the Effector RF Products Department's Engineering Labs. Audits may include but are not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Security, 7S, Lab Quality, Customer, and Equipment.This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.Responsibilities to Anticipate: - Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies.
- Management, coordination and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety standards.
- Ensure company and customer owned property is properly tracked, managed, and calibrated.
- Maintain and improve the lab access list and training matrices, ensuring all personnel entering the labs are properly trained and cleared.
- Uphold company policies and practices to ensure compliance and provide a safe and secure lab environment.
- Be proactive in developing, understanding, and implementing common lab processes, tools, templates, and metrics.
- Communicate issues and opportunities for improvement to team members and management.
- Oversee audit assessment preparation; Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Factory & Lab Assessment reviews; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives.
- Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations.
- Lead by example through respect, diversity and inclusion, and ethical conduct within the organization. Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of five years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of three years' experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience to include any combination of the following:
- Managing compliance in an Engineering or similar environment.
- Process creation and management for an Engineering or similar environment.
- Managing Environmental Health and Safety standards.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
