We are searching for a passionate Assistant Controller to join our Finance team, supporting our mission to improve mental health outcomes and provide high-quality care to those who have served our country. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial operations of our organization. From preparing monthly and annual financial statements to collaborating on budget planning, your contributions will directly impact our ability to fulfill our vision of ensuring access to top-notch care for every individual we serve. Here's what you'll do: - Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the close process and ensure accuracy in financial activities.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger and tax compliance.
- Enhance internal controls and policies to optimize financial management.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in budget planning and analysis, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Supervise and coach team members to foster a high-performing finance department. What you need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills.
- Proficiency in GAAP and financial software.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
