About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Finance Leader to support one of our business teams. This role will support the broad business team while partnering with the business leader to help drive strategic business decisions and grow the revenue and operating profits for the business. This role will provide leadership to one analyst in support of the Consumer, Defense and Safety segments. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. Responsibilities: - Provide financial decision support to the business team and partner with the business group leader in developing effective strategies and managing the day-to-day operation of the business
- Lead the global annual planning and ongoing forecasting processes for the business
- Align the business strategy with and investments with Fabrics and Enterprise strategic initiatives and long-term performance objectives
- Lead valuation modeling of New Product Development projects, both scale-up and exploration, apply value-driven financial interpretation and metrics, leverage an ability to bring objectivity and creativity to valuation
- Provide timely reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance and other ad hoc requests from Business and Functional leadership
- Monitor and guide key financial metrics for the business and actively identify opportunities for profitability improvement
- Foster collaboration with financial partners across businesses, regions, and functions (i.e. Manufacturing Cost Analyst, Business Unit Analyst(s), other Business Group finance Analysts, Division etc.)
- Provide leadership to one finance associate in developing robust performance and development goals
- Educate non-finance Associates on financial matters and how to interpret and impact financial results
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree education in Finance, Accounting or other business-related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of Finance or Business Analyst experience
- Prior experience in performing financial modelling, strategic planning, and KPI dashboards to influence and evaluate financial performance
- Understand data / reporting structures to aid in financial reporting needs
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and inventory costing methods
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, including success with working in cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a global environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to travel up to 20%
