This position is ideal for someone who loves interacting with pet owners and has previous experience working in a veterinary practice. Responsibilities include: Client Interaction: - Answering the door to greet clients warmly and assisting with sample drop offs, medication pick up, appointment scheduling, and general inquiries.
- Handling front-office coordination for clinic, which is used as base for veterinary team and appointments for surgeries, dental cleanings and x-rays.
- Educate clients on preventive care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions under the guidance of veterinarians.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of client services and patient care.
- Answering office phone calls and text messages
- Educating clients on pricing and procedures, mobile vet process
- Sending/responding to emails
- Efficiently communicating appointment details to veterinarians and technicians Team Support:
- Filling prescription requests and facilitating payment with shipping/pick-up. Including all external prescriptions (i.e., online, local, and compounding pharmacies)
- Supporting management in tasks Requirements
- 1-3+ years of experience in the veterinary field
- 1+ year(s) of experience as a veterinary/medical receptionist in a multiple-doctor practice
- Veterinary assistant/technician experience preferred, with the ability to fill in for technicians as needed
- Experience using veterinary practice management and/or scheduling applications (computer programs)
- Ability to manage logistics and communicate effectively with teammates
- Superb phone etiquette and text messaging skills
- A team player, self-motivated and reliable
