Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Beaumont Texas - Beaumont, TX Position Type Full Time Job Category Engineering Description Job Summary / Purpose Golden Pass LNG is an ExxonMobil (30%) and QatarEnergy (70%) joint venture. In 2019, the shareholders made a final investment decision for "The Golden Pass LNG Export Project" (GPX) to construct a world class LNG export facility and to upgrade the existing Golden Pass 70-mile pipeline. Golden Pass is seeking an experienced Measurement Specialist to be a part of the team that stewards the Golden Pass measurement program and helps maintain the measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have Oil & Gas / LNG experience and a thorough understanding of liquid and gas flow principals, flow measurement and flow measurement equipment. Golden Pass LNG is looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed. The role is a DOT covered position (PHMSA). Qualifications Essential Duties / Functions - Steward Golden Pass Measurement program and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all measurement devices are in compliance with Company measurement program, industry standards and regulatory/permitting requirements.
- Analyze, interpret and validate measurement data related to company assets.
- Own energy and flow balance equations and the reporting of the balance to multiple teams within the organization.
- Steward company measurement KPI's and reporting requirements.
- Review meter performance reports (e.g., orifice meter calibration reports, ultrasonic meter diagnostic files, Coriolis meter diagnostics)
- Perform witnessing activities associated with testing and calibration of 3rd party meters.
- Complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters / maintenance activities per the company guidelines and record keeping requirements.
- Calculate flow coefficients for gas volumes and orifice plate sizes, as needed.
- Work closely with measurement field personnel, providing support and training as required.
- Application of measurement procedures and standards to include Company Measurement Program, API, AGA and ASTM
- Perform periodic assessments of custody transfer and measurement program data, when necessary.
- Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.
- Demonstrate commitment to our safety culture and environmental standards. Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position - Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum experience required of the position
- 5 years industry experience in measurement, measurement system design, meter proving, gas analysis, and standard measurement reporting.
- Working experience with Coriolis, ultrasonic and DP style flow meters along with communication protocols.
- Highly experienced with API, AGA and ASTM measurement standards.
- Experienced in the use of, and maintaining/repairing gas chromatographs . Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Knowledgeable of measurement methods for natural gas, liquids, and LNG products, including applicable sampling procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory/reporting requirements for operating pipeline and LNG production facility.
- Understanding of the detail design of DCS, PLCs and Flow Computers.
- Proficiency in multiple measurement systems and software (e.g., FlowCal, TestIt, SAP, Daniel MeterLink, Sick FLOWgate).
- Familiarity with meter proving activities for natural gas/liquid meters.
- Ability to understand P&ID's, instrument detail drawings, and data sheets.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-tasking team.
- Ability to follow specific, step-by-step instructions, standard procedures, & operating guidelines. Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position.
- State issued Current and Valid Driver's License - Pursuant to PHMSA, this is a DOT covered position with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereof.
- Maintain or ability to maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status Required job competencies of the position
