Telemetry RNs consult with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. The RN utilizes machines that measure a patient's heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, as well as blood oxygen levels and electrocardiogram information.*Telemetry Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:** Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report an adverse reaction to medications in accordance with policies* Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient* Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team member* Monitor specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displaysMedSurg Registered Nurses provide care for patients before and after surgical procedures, in addition to caring for patients being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.
