Description

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including regulatory, operational, and financial reporting. The Controller will be responsible for accurate financial statements and efficient accounting processes and will work closely with Executive Management to share reports and analysis findings.

• Responsible for the management of all finance and accounting operations.
• Manage and analyze financial statements and payroll.
• Responsible for analysis, preparation, and presentation of comprehensive financial status reports and appropriate data points monthly to the Executive Management team.
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures, while adhering to legal standards and proposed legislation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and guidelines as needed, to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Oversee and support the accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
• Manage all business insurance, work with agent and Execs. to determine needs, process claims and applications.
• Manage loans and investments by working with bank and brokers at the direction of the Executive team.
• Act as Treasurer of captive insurance company.
• Act as an audit liaison, will coordinate with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
• Work with auditors for review/audit of Klondike Cheese Co. and audit of 401k plan.
• Act as 401k Administrator.
• Maintain Corporate Cards.
• Review all balance sheet analysis. As well as preparing some balance sheet account analysis.
• Oversee 1099 reporting & W-2 reporting.
• Handle Treasury functions.
• Oversee and assist with customer credit approvals as needed.
• Review and negotiate contracts as needed.
• Responsible for oversight of ERP System.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance.
  • 5 or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
  • Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft software.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Must maintain ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to administer policies and procedures for effective fiscal control.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to plan, delegate, and supervise personnel effectively.
