Description:U.S. Citizenship is Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required. Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible. This position is in-person. Toyon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a team developing prototypes of aerospace flight bodies and test diagnostic systems. This position requires a strong background in mechanical design and drafting. This position will be involved during the entire design process; from conceptualization, detailed design, release of technical drawing packages, through the development of manufacturing processes and specifications.Requirements: The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• B.S. or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 or more years of experience designing structures encountering challenging vibration, shock, and temperature environments.
• Experience with the various elements of mechanical design, including selection of structural materials, adhesive and fastener selection; ASME y14.5 and other relevant ASME drafting standards; familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100/MIL Specifications as they apply to aerospace structures.
• Ability to work in a team environment involving experts in diverse disciplines (e.g. aero-thermal and thermo-structural analyses, RF and IR signature effects of materials and configurations, etc.).

  • Paid Parental LeaveThe annual pay range for the Mechanical Engineer position is $105,000 to $200,000.The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives.
