The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been educated. - -The Medical Assistant must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change. - Performs all medical assistant functions in a medical outpatient setting for adults patients. - Responsible for telephone triage. - Renders patient care within the scope of their training, including administering immunizations, obtains height, weight and blood pressure on all procedures and physicals. - Assists physicians with minor procedures and complete physicals. - Prepares exam rooms and restock supplies. - Calls in prescription refill orders and coordinates patients care with other providers and/or facilities.Education/Experience: - - - - - - -1. - High School equivalent2. - -Medical Assistant certificate required upon hire 3. - - Multi-skilled Training: EKG, phlebotomy, - - - - - - simple respiratory & rehabilitative functions. -Certification/License: - - - - - - - - - - - Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredFLSA Status:Non-ExemptAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
