Responsible for Engineering Standards Data and related information. Responsible for the overseeing of all casemodels and their geometric accuracy. Oversee the preparation of configurable drawings, configurable Bill ofMaterials, configurable routings and perform other similar duties necessary for all standards related to PelicanPackage Engineering configurable and Standards database. Also responsible for maintenance of theconfigurable specifications software database, including the verification of existing product and implementation ofnew product developments.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES --- Oversees configurable drawing package to support customer and manufacturing needs. Makesrecommendations concerning product innovations, new sizes, options and features.--- Works closely with Product Management in overseeing all standard product offerings and options whichincludes the development, maintenance, monitoring/correcting, training for standard and configurable caseproducts.--- Works with Marketing/Sales teams to maintain pricing programs, methods and option availability.--- Creates and maintains drawings and models of the standard product offerings to produce standard productlines, including addition and removal of product. Ensures that changes are reflected consistently in Bill ofMaterials, item master, drawings, configurator and configurator pricing programs.--- Transitions new products from New Product Development to a stage of configurable availability by creatingconfigurable drawings. This also includes creation of drawings for sustainable manufacturing, creation/sustainment of Bill of Materials, maintaining material masters, updates to costing, releases to sites thatproduct will be available, and other associated tasks.--- Works with Marketing and IT to assure upgrades to configurator are tested and implemented as new itemsbecome available.--- Continually reviews existing practices for effectiveness, efficiency of document flow and information as well asimprovements to offerings and processes.--- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employmentagreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.--- Performs additional duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS --- Associates degree in Engineering, Technical Certificate or equivalent experience.--- 5-7 years' experience; minimum 2 years as a Standards Technician.--- Working knowledge of CAD modeling and Drafting Principles. Solid Edge preferred.--- Working knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system. SAP preferred.--- Knowledge of manufacturing disciplines. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with or withoutadvanced notice.--- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.--- Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS --- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standardphysical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).--- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standardphysical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).--- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.--- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activitiesThe approximate base compensation range is shown below.
