Job PurposeManage and lead the Logistics and Transportation Teams. The purpose of this position is to lead/coordinate thefunctional teams in a safe environment to deliver PRS products accurately and quickly process returns. This position is responsible for management of all aspects of the warehouse: shipping, receiving, kitting, inventory control, quality control, core processing, indirect purchasing, transportation and facility planning/maintenance. Maintain the facility to comply with all laws and regulations; Develop and present project and operational reports for senior leadership; Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Our Values in Action, Caterpillars Code of Conduct; Perform special assignments as needed.Education / Training Bachelors Degree in Business or Operations Management required, Masters Degree preferred.Qualifications and Experience 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a heavy industry or distribution environment; Proven executive-level leadership capabilities required, along with good organizational skills; In-depth experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, etc.; Results-oriented professional, with excellent analytical skills; Locomotive or other Railroad industry experience a plus; Infrastructure/Construction/Large Project management experience considered; Ability to successfully manage the integration of complex business processes in a low-volume manufacturing environment; Broad experience desired across multiple business functions such as engineering, production, scheduling, supply chain, quality control, etc.; Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; Proficient in MS Office suite, including intermediate Excel skills; Experience with SAP, or other major ERP/MRO system.Essential and Physical Activities Functions Strength Position typically involves oversight in an industrial environment. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Must be able to coordinate diverse aspects of a project.
