We have been a leading community-provider in supporting individuals with mental health, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health/substance abuse needs for over 48 years, and are looking for mission-driven, compassionate, reliable and creative people to join our community of care.*Position Type: *Full-time, 37.5 hour workweek. *Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays; 11:00pm-9:00am and Wednesdays; 3:30pm-11:00pm. *_*Days off are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.*_*What to Expect: *TCV is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible person to fill our full-time Direct Care Professional role in the North Versailles area.Direct Care Professionals play a critical role in fulfilling the mission of TCV by providing assistance and training to individuals with intellectual disabilities in our residential locations. We are looking for people who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities. All required on the job training and education will be provided by TCV. The Direct Care Professional position is designed to:* Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and specialized care in daily living, social, and recreational activities.* Provide support and assistance to foster maximum independence and choice of individuals.* Participate in the development and implementation of the individual support plan.* Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals.* Assist and encourage individuals to engage in various activities in the home and community.* Administer medications (upon completion of certification; all necessary training is provided).* Assist/perform needed cooking, housekeeping and cleaning duties.* Observe individuals' behaviors and changes in physical condition, utilize prescribed strategies to assist the individual, and document and report accordingly by keeping accurate logs and records for each individual.*Why TCV Community Services? *Being a colleague at TCV has its advantages.
