DAS is currently looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and be an integral part of a committed and collaborative team. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to a dynamic mission dedicated to swiftly delivering advanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities. By enhancing combat overmatch and ensuring seamless mission execution, you will play a crucial part in advancing the organization's objectives. Responsibilities:
- Manage systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, and design solutions formulation.
- Apply system engineering principles to translate needs/requirements into system performance parameters and identify system/item configuration.
- Formulate and issue systems engineering documents, processes, procedures, and milestones.
- Provide expert advice on Systems Engineering Management Process, DOD policies, and Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD).
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned programs.
- Perform top-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Translate military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, and system interface requirements.
- Participate in post-awards, program reviews, design reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the project engineer and/or technical expert.
- Evaluate design efforts to ensure integration of all engineering disciplines. Requirements:
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 15+ years of experience in systems engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, DOD Acquisition process, and DOD policies on Systems Engineering.
- Ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with related programs and organizations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
