Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.This role involves managing Lunar Integration and Test Engineers in Florida or Huntsville, as well as leading test design and implementation for Lunar Lander spacecraft. The chosen candidate will coordinate engineering support across integrated product teams and system-level test engineers. The people management scope entails recruiting, hiring, and mentoring a diverse team, while also overseeing their professional development and providing career guidance. The technical scope entails collaborating with design and systems engineers to plan tests for vehicle subsystems and ensuring these tests align with relevant requirements. The successful candidate will work independently as a test engineer, developing test procedures and prioritizing safety. Some travel may be required, particularly for testing at remote sites, but it is estimated to be around 10%, with occasional periods of up to 50% travel.We are seeking an individual who can apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to make a positive impact on safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is a must!Qualifications: - 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for career management of employees
- 6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to space flight
- Experience leading multidisciplinary development and verification tests, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost
- Demonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety culture
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A B.S. degree in an engineering field, or equivalent experience, is required
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:
