Start Building Your Future today!We are seeking a Contract Specialist that thrives in a fast-paced environment to support the Search, Track, Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office at the Program Executive Office for Missiles and Space. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks based upon customer guidance, attention to detail, and analytical skills. It involves comprehensive cradle to grave contracting actions, interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Responsibilities include developing acquisition packages; recommending the appropriate contract type or contract method for the product or service being procured; establishing and monitoring acquisition milestones to ensure progress toward award; serving as a contract advisor to government customers; writing and staffing various documents such as market research reports, procurement plans, justifications, determinations and findings, and other supporting documents for approval; reviewing performance work statements and statements of work to ensure they adequately describe requirements; analyzing contracting issues; recommending / implementing courses of action;providing sound business advice, guidance, and assistance to program team members on procurement processes, contractual language, legal responsibilities, and acquisition / business-related issues.
