• Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point's guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic and Profitable.
• Perform all duties by providing outstanding service efficiently in an ever-friendly demeanor.
• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance
• Working with servers and cashiers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• Willingness to shift to other stations and/or assignments as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Work on your feet most of the day with minimal break time (lunch is often "on the fly").
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
  • Effective and friendly communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management.
  • Comply with company dress code.
  • Retail background a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Team-oriented. Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
    • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking over 5 miles a day.
    • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
    • Willing to live in a remote, rural community
    • Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting
    • Able to walk and drive on gravel roads in inclement weatherIcy Strait Point is a Native-owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.O. 93-638. Icy Strait Point is unable to accept pets of any kind in company housing at this time.
