  • LONG TERM CARE RN
  • Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements) IF NOT LICENSED, WILL NEED TO BOOK 10-12 WEEKS OUT TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR LICENSE TO POST.
  • Shift: 3x12 Days (7am-7:30pm)
  • Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nights
  • Years of Experience REQ: Home Health or LTC exp preferred. Travel experience is preferred.

  • RTO Restrictions: We do not have any specific requirements around Holidays, however if the traveler is here for more than one recognized holiday we would ask them to work one of the holidays.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, BKA, Hunntington's dx
  • Common Equipment: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump
  • Additional Details: This is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC/Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg. We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc. We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Work Stations on Wheels. We DO NOT USE MedPacks which is what a lot of the LTC's down south utilize, our Medpass process is a hybrid between a LTC /MedSurg process. Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive.
