  Job Details
  • Hospital in central AZ in need of travel support in their Med Surg Tele and Multi Care unit. Qualified candidates and individuals interested in a unique travel opportunity can learn more!
    Job Requirements
    • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry. May be asked to precept nursing students.
    • Dysrhythmia exam on hire. Minimum of 1 year in MedSurg, prefer candidates with experience in telemetry. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients
      Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 0700/1900 - 1930/0730
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for Nights, Saturday and Sunday for dayshift.
      • Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
      • Is there a call or standby requirement?: If low census, staff rotates standby turns. Travelers may or may not be in rotation for low census depending on contract.
      • Floating Requirements: Float into our Multi Care Unit & Pediatric unit to care for adult MST, also float to our West Campus MedSurg Tele.
        Unit Specific Information
        • # of beds: 30 (we have three 10-bed units)
        • Ratios: 1:5-6
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients Surgical: total hip & knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, exploratory lap.
        • Medical: MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge RN manages 50 inpatient beds that include MST, PEDS, & our Acuity Adaptable MCU unit which admits ICU/PCU/MST
        • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: NAs take 10-15 patients. If no NA RN takes 3 patients and Provides primary care.

          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Currently can wear any scrub color except camouflage
