About This Role The BAS Controls Application Engineer for the ALC West region coordinates with Mechanical/Electrical engineers as well as Architects and project customers to provide a complete and user-friendly Automated Logic DDC system. The controls engineer shall also have to be able to visit jobsites, attend design meetings (on-site & virtual) and do job walks with our salesperson(s), project managers and/or field engineers as needed to give expertise guidance on potential or current projects. Key Responsibilities: - Design and program advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
- Develop and mentor other Controls Engineers.
- Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.
- Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
- Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
- Test programming and interfaces prior to implantation.
- Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers' needs are met.
- Support of functional testing for complex building systems.
- Provide input and advise others on design and programming standards, to include parts and practices.
Required Qualifications: - Associate Degree with 8+ years of Building Automation industry experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10+ years of Building Automation industry experience.
