A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Coder to develop expert knowledge of CMS models and ensure data accuracy for risk adjustment initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

Review medical records and claims for appropriate coding based on CMS-HCC & HHS-HCC models
Provide real-time support and education to Primary Care Providers and Care Coordinators on coding practices
Develop policies and procedures to optimize compliance with CMS risk adjustment and Star measurement coding guidelines


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing, health administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3 years of medical coding experience in a healthcare plan or environment
2 years of experience in a medical information environment
CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent certification
Must obtain CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) within one year of employment More...
