  • Employment Type: TravelHospital in Southern Arizona is looing for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg Tower 3 unit. The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS. To hear more about this assignment contact Medical Solutions at . Department: Stepdown - PCU - Oncology Radius Rule: 100 miles Start dates are not flexible. SUBMISSION PROFILE REQUIREMENTS - Must be in the profile or cannot move forward with submittal. • Start Date – Must match the next available start date, include in attached profile/resume • EPIC experience required. Ensure it is accurate (there have been inconsistencies on the resume versus the cover page) > EMR listed on each work assignment • Time Off- Ensure dates make sense for the required start date and are 5 days or less. > Include within the attached profile/resume. All RTO needs to be in at time of submission. • Resume- Ensure resume information is accurate (there's been an increase in inaccurate information sent). > MUST INCLUDE: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level (if applicable) for each hospital. > Explain any employment gaps upon submission and include in attached profile/resume. • Certifications- Make sure certs are accurate and up to date. • License- Active and in hand - AZ or Compact- Ensure it's accurate NURSE PATIENT RATIOS: DAYS - 1:5-6 NIGHTS - 1:6 • # of Beds: 36 • Nurse: Patient Ratios: RN day 1:6. Noc 1:6-7. • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, Chemo/Immunotherapy cert- HIGHLY Preferred. PCU experience Required and need Oncology experience • Common diagnoses: Oncology-all, abd pain, COPD, overdose, ETOH, weakness, psych, some surgical. Occasional chest tube, trachs, peritoneal dialysis patients. • Experience: Preferred-oncology, hospice, palliative. • Are RNs required to titrate drips; Only titrating gtt is Heparin. • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Lasix-set rate. • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge- sometimes free but can take assignment if needed. • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit?: PCA. 8-12 per person. • RT Equipment: Bipap, stable trach. • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?: Tele on this unit, Travelers don't need to read tele, there is a dedicated monitor tech. • Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45 - 7:15am/pm. • Weekend Requirement: Every other. • Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays. • Is there Call or a Standby requirement: Low Census On Call. • Floating Requirements: MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU. • Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
