Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our healthcare team at a small inpatient hospital in Peridot, AZ for a 13-26 week contract. This role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services to patients across all age groups in a close-knit, community-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAEs). Diagnose and manage hearing and balance disorders. Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Provide auditory rehabilitation and counseling to patients and their families. Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and families on hearing health, prevention of hearing loss, and proper use of audiological devices. Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system. Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote hearing health awareness. Qualifications Education: Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent. Licensure: Current Audiologist license in the state of Arizona or eligibility for licensure. Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA preferred. Experience: Experience in an inpatient or clinical setting is highly desirable, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic audiology procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing culturally sensitive care in a rural healthcare setting.
