Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.As an RF Engineer, you will be involved in both hardware testing and designing solutions for Space Satellite Systems, leveraging advanced simulation tools and specialized lab setups to achieve exceptional RF performance while navigating the strict physical constraints and environmental conditions of launch and space. You will collaborate closely with System Engineering to ensure seamless integration of RF designs with the overall system, and with Mechanical Engineers to address thermal management challenges. A critical part of your role will be supporting hardware testing to validate both the electrical and thermal integrity of the design, using a combination of simulations and hands-on lab measurements. As part of the Space Qualification process, you will perform comprehensive testing, including parts screening, design-margin analysis, derating, thermal testing, vacuum testing, vibration testing, and material analysis, to confirm the system's operational integrity during launch and throughout its space mission. Board/module level design of RF circuits to specific performance criteria, and physical constraints, Simulation and modelling using CAE Tools such as Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, Matlab, etc. Hands-on prototyping skills, performance tuning, and characterization of RF circuit performance in the lab. Setting up and operating specialized RF lab bench setups In this role, you will have substantial contribution to: Analysis and/or definition of electrical requirements, RF performance, components, and interfaces. Formulating, evaluating, implementing solutions to technical issues Research and Design of new technologies applicable to Space Payloads Evaluation of vendor capability, Technical content of new business proposals Travel may be required: RF, EM, and thermal simulation and modelling > 3years of RF product development for performance oriented applications Systems-level understanding of RF front-ends into complex digital radio systems Space Payload electronics TS/SCI Secret security clearance within 24 months of hire 2. Awareness of how Engineering contributes to Business achieving objectives 3. Familiar with RF simulation and modelling tools such as Keysight ADS, Microwave Office, Ansys HFSS, Matlab, etc. Risk Mitigation: ability to identify potential problems well in advance and determine appropriate risk mitigation 5.
