Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Public Works to join our client's team. This role demands a seasoned professional with a robust background in civil engineering and project management. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all project activities, including documentation, client management, team coordination, and financial oversight. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure project success. Prepare and manage contracts and proposals, determining scope, schedules, and fees, and submit them for client approval. Conduct project kickoff and closeout meetings and coordinate with internal and external partners. Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring project designs meet their specifications and objectives. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure all activities align with project goals. Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear direction and deadlines to team members. Manage invoice processes, including handling change orders and additional services. Coordinate permit submittals and liaise with review authorities. Supervise technical engineering components, ensuring quality control and assurance. Foster team development by aligning tasks with individual strengths and conducting performance reviews. Engage in new business development and maintain relationships with existing clients. Participate in strategic initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements. Attend industry events and meetings, serving as an ambassador for the organization. Maintain a billable utilization rate of 60-70% while balancing non-billable activities. Preferred Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field. Professional Engineering License required. Minimum of 10 years of experience managing public works projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and emotional intelligence. Ability to monitor project financials and schedule, identifying potential scope changes. Experience in leading teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
