TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224 Pay Information $1,903 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry - C4 CV Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days, Every Other Weekend; First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 6 months) License: Required for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance. Maximum of 2 attempts. - Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, focusing on sterile field. Job Description: - 32-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit (CV Tele) - Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3-4 - Charge Nurse available with no patient assignment - Clinical Supervisor present in a management role - Patient Care Technicians (PCTs): 1 per every 16 patients - Centralized telemetry monitoring; RNs must interpret EKGs - Common conditions treated: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general telemetry - Medications: Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine (titration required) - No pediatric patients; accepts 15 years and older - Weekends: Every other weekend required - Scrub color: Navy - Hospital Rounds: Hospitalist rounds during the day, on-call at night - No ventilators managed - 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support - Expect floating to similar or lower acuity settings - Floor-specific orientation of 2 days - Uses Cerner charting system - Shift timing: 12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm - Possible cancellation by the hospital up to 3 times per contract; full shift or partial shifts may be affected. Full hours may be compensated for a particular shift in such cases. Study materials will be provided for sterile field techniques with first-day instructions.
