  Job Details
  • Unit: B3B - CHF Telemetry - 2 years minimum experience, required
  • # beds: 30
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CHF and general Telemetry, Fluid overload, SOB, arrhythmias, ETOH, etc.
    Job Requirements
    • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED, NO EXCEPTIONS
      Schedule Information
      • Self Scheduling, 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
      • Every other weekend.
      • 2 major holidays, 2 minor depending on contract dates
      • Floating Requirements: Yes - to any tele floor
        Unit Specific Information
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a manager.
        • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios PCTs - 1 per every 15 patients.
        • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Nasal Cannula, Bipap/Cpap for obstructive sleep apnea only
        • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
        • Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
          Additional Details
          • Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs prior to acceptance of a position - 2 MAXIMUM ATTEMPTS, ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS, NO 3RD ATTEMPT ALLOWED
          • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation
          • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. More...
