If you fit the bill and are ready to be paid what you are worth, apply today !!This position is located near Siloam Springs, AR ( Colcord, OK )Qualifications: 3 years of Freight Account Management at a refrigerated motor carrier.Principal Duties :The Freight Account Manager will be responsible for assisting the Freight Department in securing and managing all of the necessary freight for the company. This will include but not be limited to: - Contracting with new freight customers.
- Obtaining direct freight and overseeing the freight until the freight bill has been paid in full to the company.
- Obtaining freight from outside freight brokers as needed and overseeing the freight until the freight bill has been paid in full to the company.
- Managing any freight related problems including but not limited to OS&Ds, late deliveries and truck/driver problems.
- Be a single point of contact for major customers.
- Communicate with customers to capture and convey shipping and order instructions.
- Provide customers with information on service, equipment availability and shipment status.
- Interact with customers and drivers in a polite and professional manner.
- Maximizing the efficiency of the operation of all trucks (to include decreasing empty miles and maximizing revenue per mile for all miles traveled)
- Ensure all loads comply with HOS and DOT regulations.
- Make pick-up and delivery appointments based on customer orders and schedules.
- Obtain directions to shippers and consignees and enter directions into dispatch software.
- Enter load information and instructions into dispatch software.
- Track drivers and loads and make sure they deliver in a timely manner.
- Monitor shipments and work with Dispatch to eliminate (or reduce to a minimum) fines and late fees due to service failure (missed pickup and delivery appointments).
- Working with Dispatch to plan loads and manage loads until delivered
- Working with Dispatch to pre-plan reloads for all trucks
- Working with Dispatch to resolve problems
- Provide Management with feedback on customer service related issues.
- Process invoices as needed.
