The Scheduler will work closely with Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehouse and Production to ensure OTIF delivery of all orders and will look to optimize production runs to support operating efficiency. Further, the Production Scheduler will support mid and long term labor planning and capacity planning. Primary ResponsibilitiesNear-term scheduling (2-6 weeks)Responsible for assisting with National Custom Packaging Center's (CPC) areas of planning, allocation, production, scheduling and routing Schedule production orders by line and job type, maximizing output but ensuring capabilities match job requirements and customer fulfillment is met on timeCoordinate directly with purchasing on inbound raw material, ensure raw material on hand continues to stay at desired service and safety stock levelsCollaborate with production supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure production runs smoothly and support ad-hoc requests as they ariseFacilitate and complete time studies and cost estimates for custom and/or first time jobsMonitor material scrap rate, production line speeds and other critical KPISSupport daily warehouse reporting and MRP supportResponsible for creating production orders and purchase orders for all Third-Party Logistics (3PL) products and Saxco facilitiesHelp maintain Bill of Material's (BOM's), routes and plan settings within ERP systemMonitor the flow of allocated orders through all warehouse processes, taking appropriate actions on out of standard issuesManage inbound/outbound intricacies related to special service repacks (gift packs, filled goods, reselect, other specialty services)Facilitate communication of routes added to new SKUsAct to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained for all customersMonitor and resolve MRP messages to support optimized production planning and customer fulfillmentMid-long term scheduling (2-10 months)--- Forecast annual production requirements by month, present multiple scenarios to support labor planning, inventory management and working capital--- Forecast labor requirements to support annual production, provide recommendations on how to optimize labor and resources --- Conduct scenario analysis on production and labor requirements to size risk and opportunities on customer fulfillment and the associated financial impacts --- Work directly with purchasing stakeholders on the material resource plan to support the production schedule --- Work directly with ancillary suppliers to purchase dunnage (pallets, tier sheets, shrink wrap, etc.) to support the production plan and warehousing requirements, optimize to reduce costs and fulfill customer requirementsRequirementsEducation, Work Experience and Skills5+ years working experience within high volume distribution/production environmentPrevious ERP/MRP system experience (experience with Microsoft AX a plus)Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically with Excel and OutlookStrong communication skills both written and verbalSense of urgency and a "can do" attitudeThe ability to work independently but also work effectively within a team environmentThe ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain focusStrong project management and/or analytical skills Strong attention to detailsPersonal CharacteristicsThe following are important to the continued development of the Company's culture and success of the successful individual: Motivated, self-driven, high-performing individualUndeniable work ethic and personal commitment to deadlines and company success; Possess a winning attitude, team-player with strong sense of ethics, honesty, integrity and commitment to excellence; Excellent interpersonal skill, including a strong but flexible personality, and proven success developing relationships with new and existing customers; Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills;Empathetic; open to new challenges and able to quickly adapt to new situations and effectively integrate new information; Possess a desire to be a part of a high-profile organization and team; Confident; possessing innate intelligence; capable of consistently thinking "outside the box" while maintaining sound business judgment;Balanced individual, both personally and professionally, with an ability to develop and grow professional relationships at all levels of an organization, as well as with customers;Our employees enjoyCompetitive Pay401(k) MatchMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageDisability and Life Insurance PackagePaid Time Off and HolidaysEqual Opportunity Employer: Saxco International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
