  Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L&D nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
    Job Requirements
    • Hold active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
    • Must have an active CA License
      Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7a, 7p
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per every 6 weeks
      • Must work a major and a minor holiday
        Unit Specific Information
        • Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts is baseline on the unit
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: L&D, recovery, post partum, women's health patients
        • Nursing staff will cover L&D, PP, C-section, and women's health, not just one specialty
        • Approximately 250 births per month
        • NICU charge nurse and RT attend all high risk deliveries
        • Level 2 NICU in house
        • Evidence-based practice is emphasized, with initiatives such as pre-eclampsia initiatives and reducing the number of low risk primary C-sections
          Additional Details
          • CERNER REQUIRED
          • Unit does 100% chart audits
          • Prefer CERNER charting experience
