  Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
    Job Requirements
    • Must have an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
      Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 8 hr shifts, 7a-3pm or 3pm-11pm.
      • Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend days a month, either Saturday or Sunday.
      • Holidays: work them in with perm staff rotation.
      • Call requirement: week day required - unknown.
      • Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on average.
      • Call includes weeknight and weekend call being needed on a rotational basis.
        Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: GI lab
        • # beds: 2 procedure rooms
        • Certs: ACLS, PALS, BLS
        • Ratios: based on patient acuity
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Charge Nurse: yes - they will take a patient assignment
        • Nurse Aides: They have endo techs
        • Floating: Float to ACC (ambulatory care)
        • Common types of cases to recover: GI -upper and lower, breath tests, ERCP - yes, travelers must have experience with ERCP's
        • ICU patients - do they recover in PACU: N/A
          Additional Details
          • Cerner Experience Required.
