This role is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage high-stakes IP litigation from start to finish-conducting fact investigations, driving case strategy, overseeing discovery and motion practice, and navigating mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial or arbitration, all the way through appeal. Reporting to the Senior Director of IP Litigation & Enforcement, you'll be joining a passionate and dynamic team of IP experts dedicated to protecting SIE's groundbreaking patents, trademarks, and copyrights while mitigating risks in a rapidly evolving tech and gaming landscape.What You'll be DoingIP Litigation Management: - Manage an active and varied caseload of IP litigation, appeals, and other adversarial proceedings. Matters expected to include a range of IP disputes, with a focus on patent litigation.
- Advise internal clients regarding potential and ongoing disputes and risk management.
- Connect and communicate with leadership and business partners regarding IP litigation risks and status of pre-litigation disputes and ongoing IP litigation matters.
- Evaluate, select, and supervise outside counsel; negotiate standard and alternative fee arrangements.
- Work with outside counsel to set strategy and lead IP litigation matters to budget.
- Assist with IP-related subpoena responses and other third-party requests for information.
- Collaborate closely with IP and business colleagues to develop strategies to mitigate potential IP related risks.
- Work with internal Engineering teams to understand the relevant technology and provide risk assessments.What We're Looking For
