Raytheon Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer II supporting our Electronic Warfare Systems product line. This is an exciting new role that will interface with the Integrated Product Team Lead, Chief Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. The selected candidate should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. - What You Will Do*
- Determine what the requirements should be for a product or system based on information from the customer and providing traceability to these requirements.
- Decide how to capture those requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
- Ensure the requirements are clear, concise, understandable and verifiable.
- Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure that all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
- Ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.
- Qualifications You Must Have*
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior sy engineering experience.
- Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
- Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Qualifications We Prefer*
- Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
- Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
- Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
- Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
