We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Reliability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, reliability, and durability throughout their lifecycle.You will identify and resolve critical issues and risks, applying innovative solutions to improve our products. Your scope will span multiple vehicle systems and the product lifecycle, enabling knowledge transfer across teams and programs, and ensuring seamless integration of vehicle systems. You will collaborate closely with design, validation, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customer-facing teams for rapid and effective problem-solving. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive excellence in our operations and significantly enhance the customer experience.The Role - Identify, analyze, and resolve issues and risks impacting vehicle performance, safety, certification, production, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop deep understanding of vehicle systems including but not limited to powertrain, chassis, steering, suspension, brakes, body systems, electronics, and software.
- Lead root cause analysis of complex issues and develop/implement containment, risk management, and corrective actions.
- Highlight risks to development and production timelines and contribute to decision-making and prioritization through reporting on issues and reliability indicators.
- Operate cross-functionally to develop and strengthen system integration and feedback loops between internal teams and customers.
- Champion initiatives to improve integrated system designs and validation methods.
- Partner with design and validation teams to improve robustness of vehicle validation and certification efforts, leveraging data to inform these inputs.
- Partner with aftermarket and customer-facing teams to track and feed back field performance data and warranty claims to internal teams.
- Develop Lean processes for effective issue and risk management.
- Support development of cutting-edge problem prevention and resolution processes and systems.
- Help develop internal specifications for quality assurance and issues and risk management, including quality and problem resolution targets.
- Mentorship and guide others on design and build reliability best practices.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, reliability, validation, or quality engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience launching new vehicles or similarly complex products from concept to production.
- Experience solving complex, inter-disciplinary problems in development or production.
- Familiarity with automotive or similar hardware/software systems.
- Master's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
- Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Black Belt is a plus).
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies, particularly 3D printing.
- Familiarity with NX/Teamcenter or similar CAD/design platforms.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality standards.
- Familiarity with SQL, Jira and other data gathering tools.
- Office and manufacturing floor environment.
- Occasional travel to supplier sites, testing events, and other company facilities as required.Pay Range$122,400 - $153,000 USDWhat We Offer:
