As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be an ambassador for Orlebar Brown, reporting directly to the Store Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Achieve and exceed sales targets to maximize selling results and key KPIs: Footfall, UPT, Conversion, ATV.
- Manage and motivate store staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.
- Drive sales through various initiatives.
- Assist the Manager in day-to-day operations.
- Build a client base.
- Liaise with the Head of Retail and key staff members of the head office team.
- Store banking, cashing up, and key holder responsibilities.
- Ensure all staff maintain Orlebar Brown standards.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and uphold cleanliness and merchandising standards.
- Ensure the security of the shop premises and stock.
- Complete and submit necessary paperwork and reports for Orlebar Brown Head Office.
- Oversee stock control and management with the Store Manager.
- Manage the store and team in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Manage staff store rota and obtain Store Manager's sign-off.
- Work with the Store Manager to develop the store sales team and provide training.
- Support the Store Manager in managing daily and weekly admin workloads.
- Handle customer complaints in a sympathetic and timely manner.
- Recruit and interview new staff with the Store Manager.
- Induct new staff and provide necessary training.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in retail, ideally in a premium or luxury environment.
- Ability to drive sales during quieter periods.
- Experience in building client bases.
- Good numerical and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Natural planning and organizational skills.
- Confident in managing a store team of 3-8 people.
- Attention to maintaining high standards in the store environment.
- Self-confident and self-motivated.
- Team player with strong professional relationships.
- Problem solver with logical thinking.
- Enjoys ownership of projects.
- Practical multi-tasker.
