SD: Center for Dental Research (Full-time, Day Shift) - Biomedical Engineer **The salaried rate of pay will be determined commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An PhD degree is Required Having at least 2 years of experience Has published in peer-reviewed journals Experience in grant writing and submission for external funding History of securing grants (either internal or external [preferred]) Good team player who is willing to teach and give presentations Strong ability to think analytically and solve problems Able to work independently Experience in material science, numerical methods and Finite Element Analysis Laboratory management experience Job Summary: The Assistant Professor-PhD prepares and presents materials for designated courses, mentors and/or advises students, and coordinates the courses assigned. Performs other duties as needed.Education and Experience: A Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution required. Minimum two years of work/teaching experience in related field required.Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position as well as Canvas and Banner. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
