Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of GL accounting and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. • Lead the execution of the month-end close process, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting in a timely manner
• Provide oversight and review of core accounting operations including technical accounting, equity, international accounting, accounts payable, and procurement
• Manage, develop, and coach a strong team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Optimize existing systems and help design planned integrations to scale operations and accelerate our month-end close timeline
• Own our annual financial statement audit with a Big 4 firm. Serve as a key liaison with auditors and external consultants, and manage the drafting of the annual financial statements
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare/review technical memorandums that document issues and conclusions in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner.
• Help to build and maintain a comprehensive policy and procedures manual for all accounting and financial reporting functions
• Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers, becoming a change agent for implementing new insights and process improvements with an eye towards internal controlsWhat are we looking for?
  • CPA with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a management role. Public accounting experience is highly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation, with SaaS accounting and industry knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing the accounting tech stack. NetSuite experience required, with Airbase, Carta, FloQast, and/or CapIQ experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big-picture strategic understanding
