SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring safety and security by managing traffic flow at events, loading ramps, and driveways in order to keep everyone safe. ASM GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public facilities, has immediate openings for Traffic Controllers at ASM GLOBAL Moscone Center. This position reports to the Security Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Report to post in full uniform and ready to work.
- Oversee and institute daily driveway and ramp status.
- Assure smooth traffic flow at the loading ramps and driveways.
- Direct all deliveries to appropriate receiving points.
- Monitor assigned or permitted parking spaces and assure that there is no traffic or parking congestion, or unauthorized vehicles on the ramps or in the driveways.
- Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the facility via the ramps.
- Maintain necessary records of ramp activity. Log in all vehicles and/or persons walking down the ramps.
- Assure that vehicle passes are completed in full and placed inside the vehicle windshield.
- Provide guests and clients with facility information.
- Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures established onsite.
- Must comply with all ASM Global policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen and follow instructions.
- Must be customer friendly, self-motivated, and enjoy working around people in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors and other personnel via verbal and nonverbal forms of communication.
