Position description Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X or In Residence) Department of Radiation Oncology Gastrointestinal Tumors The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking to recruit a full-time faculty member (MD or MD/PhD) clinical/academic radiation oncologist to specialize in managing patients with gastrointestinal cancers at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence Series. Descriptions of these series may be found in the UCSF online Academic Personnel Manual. Candidates must be Radiation Oncology ABR board-certified or board-eligible and qualify for medical licensure and X-ray supervisor licensure in the state of California. Candidates must also have completed ACGME Residency Training in Radiation Oncology or be expected to complete training by July 2024. A demonstrated interest in clinical practice, academic pursuits, development and participation in clinical trials, and teaching is preferred. Candidates will have 20% protected time for academic pursuits and devote 80% to clinical duties. The hired faculty member will work with an outstanding, collaborative multidisciplinary team of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgeons, Radiologists, and Gastroenterologists and will be expected to help expand the clinical research program in gastrointestinal cancers. The faculty member will also teach in educational courses provided by the Department of Radiation Oncology for medical students, residents and fellows, and contribute to continuing medical education efforts. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and achievements.
