<span>OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION:<br>DESIGN TECHNOLOGIES MANAGER<br>Responsibilities:<br>• Configure, Delpoy, and maintain Revit Architecture, Structural Engineering and MEP suites.<br>• Develop the Revit platforms, including workflow enhancements, content, and the integration of CAD and BIM projects.<br>• Directly assist Revit platform users to efficiently produce high quality project deliverables.<br>• Provide direct support to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for all Revit project teams.<br>• Develop and maintain best practice strategies, standards, and documentation<br>• Access project requirements and goals as they relate to BIM and advise Project Manager of best approach and techniques to achieve those goals.<br>• Interact with business units on a daily basis to identify customization needs for application software, and communicate these requirements to Corporate Design Technology department.<br>• Participate in pilot projects for the implementation of new technologies and new versions of modeling/drafting software. Manage the installation and updating of desktop software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D other software programs as needed<br>• Push out Windows updates/patches, create and push out new software patches for other software programs<br>• Position requires a great deal of interaction with internal personnel (developers, quality assurance, and sales) and ability to also work well independently. <br>• Knowledge of software licensing terms and conditions, agreements and maintenance contracts <br>• Tracking/management of software license governance and compliance in accordance with enterprise policy, process, procedures and controls by internal staff and external service providers<br>Desired Skills:<br>• Advanced understanding of Revit Architectural schedules, including populating, editing, and template customization.<br>• Familiarity of AutoDesk suites such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and 3DS Max Design<br>• Advanced understanding of large model setup from project templates including levels, worksets, views and sheets.<br>• Understanding of large team workflows; linked models, worksharing.<br>• Understanding of Network sharing, Revit Server, and multi-office collaboration.<br>• Ability to provide Revit training, including how to create complex Architectural Revit Families.<br>• Preferred – Familiarity with Revit Structure, configuration, maintenance, and support.<br>• Ability to develop & promote practices to improve production, efficiency and effectiveness at a project level. <br> <br> <br></span> More...
