We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry.The Impact You'll MakeJoin Lam as an RF Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing subsystems, conducting experimental tests, and conducting simulations and analyzing results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.In this role, you will directly contribute to the simulation, design, test, validation, and productization of process-critical assemblies and subsystems related to our Etch process modules.What You'll Do - Designs, develops, and modifies highly complex RF delivery subsystems and components.
- Works with multidisciplinary engineering design teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Process) to spec, design, validate, custom and OEM RF system components.
- Contributes to research and development efforts for future products and technology by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
- Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterize the performance of the electrical/electro-mechanical systems.
- Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of RF and High Voltage designs, E&M Modeling for the department, as well as a resource and mentor for colleagues.
- Leads cross-functional design teams and presents various stages of design reviews including conceptualization, design details, and test and validation data.
- Proposes, leads, and manages inter-department initiatives and makes contributions towards department business processes.Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of industry experience; or Master's degree with 8+ years' industry experience; or PhD with 5 years of industry experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Outstanding analysis and troubleshooting skills; experience with FMEA and structured problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and terminology.
- Ability to drive functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
- Expert-level working experience in electrical circuit design and development with Keysight ADS, SPICE, System modeling (e.g. SIMULink or similar).
- Expert-level working experience with RF and E&M Simulation Suites Ansys Electronics Desktop (Maxwell, HFSS, Q3D, COMSOL, and SIwave).
- Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, LabView, Python (or similar modern scripting language).
- Experience with schematic and PCB design tools; OrCAD, Cadence Allegro or similar.
- Understands tradeoffs between software suites, when to implement, and how to use each.
- Ability to code, develop additions to data solvers, as well as data post-processing.Preferred Qualifications
