Mother Rosalie Hill Hall on the University of San Diego campus is home to the School of Leadership and Education Sciences' (SOLES) vibrant and vision-driven collective of academic departments, centers and institutes.Detailed Description:The Lead Credential Analyst for the School of Leadership and Education Sciences is responsible for providing school counseling and teacher candidates with information and guidance about credentialing requirements and to ensure that the University follows the laws, rules and regulations of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) specifically as they pertain to the school counseling pupil personnel credential and a variety of teaching credential programs.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead Responsibilities: - Lead the maintenance of credential files of active students.
- Contributes to the oversight of other team members.
- Send notices and reminders to credential candidates.
- Supervise the submission of applications in compliance with California credentialing regulations.
- Verify completion of requirements to confirm Program Completers.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and tracking of all documents.
- Act as an additional advisor to students regarding credential and academic requirements.
- Support the Department of Learning and Teaching with stakeholder outreach.
- Lead the MOU process.
- Meet with students, alumni, faculty, and administrators.
- Attend Open Houses and/or Information Sessions.
- Maintain general knowledge of other states' requirements.Communication:
- Provide current information to students, staff, and faculty on State credential requirements.
- Act as school liaison with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Attend conferences and workshops to stay current on regulations.
- Participate in department meetings and collaborate on relevant forms.Administrative:
- Run specialized reports utilizing various software.
- Provide administrative support on special projects.
- Maintain the credential sections of the SOLES website.
- Update Teaching Credential and Pupil Personnel Services credential handbooks.Special Conditions of Employment:
- Able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends when necessary.Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.Degree Verification Requirement: Required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of professional experience in a similar or related position.Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 1-2 years of experience as a credential analyst.Performance Expectations:
