As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll work closely with our product and design teams to create elegant, performant user experiences that make complex healthcare workflows simple and delightful. We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with an eye for design and a passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces. This is a chance to make a significant impact by shaping the face of modern healthcare technology.What You Will Do Architect and build sophisticated React applications that handle complex healthcare workflows while maintaining simplicity for end users Drive frontend architecture decisions and establish best practices for our growing engineering team Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces Mentor other engineers and contribute to our frontend development standardsAbout You You hold a 4-year degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field You bring 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend technologies You have deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a passion for creating polished user interfaces You take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and building scalable frontend architectures You are based in the SF Bay Area and are ready for twice-weekly in-person collaborationBonus Experience optimizing build systems, development workflows, and creating developer tooling Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles Experience with healthcare applications or HIPAA compliance Previous experience at an early-stage startupAbout MedplumMedplum is redefining healthcare with our open source, API-first electronic health record (EHR) platform, trusted by leading digital health and life sciences companies.
