In this role you will follow a working backwards from the customer approach to build and launch products and services from scratch, partnering with engineering teams, sales (pre and post), customer success, professional services teams, and other stakeholders to deliver products and services that delights customers. - To succeed you must be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset. You will have to ideate new concepts that can be productized to accelerate revenue growth for the cloud storage business that includes bringing new workloads on NetApp cloud storage including AI apps. You must also demonstrate a high level of ownership and insist on the highest standards of product quality, operational excellence, and tech support. You will cut through the noise, relentlessly simplify, and deliver outstanding results. Prior experience working on storage systems, especially cloud storage is preferred. - Key Responsibilities - Drive the development of new SaaS offerings from ideation to launch working with cross-functional teams that include engineering, customer success, professional services, sales, and marketing.
- Identify new product opportunities especially in the field of GenAI and deliver on them to accelerate revenue growth.
- Drive initiatives to bring new workloads to NetApp first-party cloud storage portfolio and help accelerate the migration of such workloads from on-premises and other cloud storage services.Job Requirements
- 10 - 12+ years of industry experience in software product management (preferably in infrastructure/systems software products).
- Must be hands-on and deeply technical with the ability to confidently demonstrate products to various stakeholders and test products to provide feedback to engineering.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Must be able to gather, organize, crunch, and analyze customer and partner data to determine product feature uptake/adoption/non-adoption reasons.
- Must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and make abstract ideas concrete.
- Must be an inspirational product leader -- must be able to motivate, inspire, and excite teams around a product vision. -
Preferred Qualifications - Building SaaS products or fully managed services from scratch.
- A thorough understanding of public cloud (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) storage services and data storage/ data management fundamentals.
- Practitioner of working backwards framework for building new a new service/feature/functionality.
- Knowledgeable about modern compute paradigms including Kubernetes, containers, and micro VMs.Education
