What You'll Do: - Assist with the design of the High Voltage Battery production system, including line layout, manufacturing processes and automation, installation, and overall battery production ramp planning for a new manufacturing facility.
- Apply expert level knowledge of High Voltage Batteries and manufacturing process to collaborate and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a new High Voltage Battery for an eVTOL aircraft.
- Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with the product design team.
- Determine the requirements for automation, tools, stands, fixtures, etc.
- Develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing methods, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network, etc.) and determine an appropriate MBOM.
- Conduct process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA) for the Battery production system.
- Develop specification for tooling and automation equipment.
- Develop efficient manufacturing processes.
- Oversee Final Acceptance Testing of manufacturing equipment.
- Create/approve work instructions for Battery assembly and installation.
- Support first unit builds and testing of the production system.
