It allows us to answer key questions ranging from what our biggest opportunities are to how to accurately solve a problem with a new feature. At Faire, we have a distributed research model where both researchers and non-researchers across the company conduct research by interviewing customers, developing surveys, and conducting studies through a variety of other research methodologies. Research at Faire is truly a company-wide effort - to make this possible, we rely on our Research Operations team to build and run the tools and systems necessary to enable everyone at Faire to conduct research.We are looking for a Research Operations Program Manager to join our Research team in order to build out and run programs and processes that will continue to evolve the research function at Faire. This role will work directly with the Research Team as well as Product Design, Product Management, Strategy & Analytics, Legal, IT, Finance, Marketing, CX, Sales, and external vendors to develop and run excellent programs and processes to conduct research across Faire.What you'll do - Engineer and drive processes that enable research to happen effectively and seamlessly.
- Manage research process improvements as they are created and rolled out for a distributed research environment.
- Explore, evaluate and onboard new research tools.
- Refine our participant management system for easier, faster and more reliable recruiting.
- Develop and operationalize a rolling research program/playbook at Faire.
- Establish protocols and systems relating to research data compliance.
- Implement a research repository for better access and to leverage existing research.
- Establish and manage a Research Team calendar to coordinate on key team initiatives throughout the year.
- Approve survey launch dates and coordinate between conflicting surveys to ensure there are no issues with sampling.
- Develop and operationalize a protocol to ensure site intercepts are easy to set up without conflicting with other active intercepts.
- Elevate research as a practice across the organization.Qualifications
- 4+ years of program management or related experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Research Operations.
- Able to deeply understand technical systems in order to develop new capabilities.
- Comfort proactively owning team communications (written and verbal) related to your systems and programs.
- Open to change and enthusiastic about developing new initiatives.
- Able to supervise other people's work streams and train people to support these work streams.
- Ability to create goals and projections to measure the impact of your developments.
- Ability to evaluate, set up, integrate, roll out and manage technical systems.
- Proficiency working with data in Excel/GoogleSheets.Salary RangeSan Francisco: the pay range for this role is $116,500-$160,000 per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - Faire employees will be expected to go into the office 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective the week of January 13, 2025. Additionally, in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.Why you'll love working at Faire
