Please contact me if you or someone in your network is interested! <br>&nbsp;<br>Olivia Luong<br><span style="color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-family:Times New (Email Address Withheld by Request)</a></span><br>408-367-2572<br>&nbsp;<br>Location: Milpitas, CA<br>Duration: 12 Months (Contract)<br>&nbsp;<br>The developer will be the part of Company&#39;s fast paced SPVSS groups to work on VDS-TV platform with focus on maintaining Berkeley DB used in the product <br>&nbsp;<br>Responsibilities: <br>Design and develop the new features in VDS-TV that requires Berkeley DB support <br>Develop and sustain various features used Berkeley DB, which are used in Service provider networks. <br>Support the customer escalation team with any Customer issues that is raised in the Berkeley Db area <br>Performance tuning and code optimization of Berkeley DB and the wrapper code used in the product to ensure scalability and performance. <br>Perform software design, documentation and implementation. <br>Perform Test Driven development in a highly agile team <br>&nbsp;<br>Requirements: <br>10 or more years of Software Development experience in C in Linux environment <br>5 ore more years of experience in Berkeley DB <br>Strong design and coding experience in C on Linux environment <br>Very strong in various no SQL embedded databases. Designing and Developing the databases that suites highly scalable distributed systems. <br>In depth knowledge in Berkeley DB used in a distributed system and experience in writing wrapper code to handle replication, resync etc. <br>Previous experience developing and deploying highly distributed video delivery systems <br>Strong problem solving and team player skills <br>Strong debugging skills and experience in debugging issues in live customer deployments <br>BS or MS in Computer Science or relevant areas, or strong experience in Berkeley DB. <br>&nbsp;<br>Desired: <br>Experience in video delivery systems is highly desired <br>Good knowledge about embedded databases , handling scalability and performance of these databases in a highly scalable, high performance service provider environment <br>Experience in advanced embedded databases <br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&bull; Position will be onsite in San Jose <br>&bull; No travel required <br>&bull; Anticipated for 6+ months with quarterly renewals <br>&bull; Flexible with OT<br>&nbsp;<br></span> More...
