Application window is expected to close on 09/30/2024 What You'll DoAs a software engineering technical leader, you will be a key member of a team of skilled engineers crafting, maintaining and supporting embedded chassis management software for Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) family of products. Cisco UCS brings together compute, networking, and storage, all in a single system to power your applications. Who You'll Work WithYou'll be working in the UCS Chassis Management Controller team responsible for all aspects of chassis management and working with all the other software teams that collectively deliver the entire UCS architecture. We work closely with many other teams within Cisco to deliver our industry leading products at high quality and on schedule.Who You AreIdeally you will have prior experience developing application and low-level software that runs inside a Chassis Management Controller or Baseboard Management Controller (CMC or BMC). Broad experience with embedded systems is crucial for success in this role. You must be capable and willing to learn.We are seeking candidates experienced in system-level and low-level device programming. Candidates must have strong C programming skills and experience developing software that runs in an embedded Linux environment.We are seeking candidates with the ability to: - Lead feature development from early technical design through completion
- Develop, review, integrate, test and debug code across the entire embedded software stack
- Drive architectural decisions with emphasis on reliability and security
- Create software requirements specifications, architecture, and design documents
- Work with cross-functional teams across different locations to coordinate project scope and develop and maintain products
