Role: Market ManagerCompensation: Base Salary ($70,000 - $90,000) + Bonus (up to 30% of Base Salary)Job Type: Full-Time EmployeeWork Location: Remote (with willingness to travel)Preferred Home Location: San Francisco x Bay AreaOverview: The Market Manager is a full-time employee and key member of the Sales Department who reports directly to the Regional Sales Director. The Role leads market activities related to sales, marketing, and budgeting for key distributors within the Territory, resulting in the delivery of target volumes and distribution goals as set forth in the annual business plan.Responsibilities

  • Know Your Business
  • Train and educate yourself regarding Best Day Brewing's product portfolio and related merchandise and marketing materials and programs.
  • Be informed regarding the Region's annual business plan.
  • Educate yourself regarding existing and potential distributor(s)' product portfolios, territories, and ways of working.
  • Educate yourself regarding existing and potential retailer(s) product offerings, physical locations, customer profiles, and ways of working.
  • Stay informed about industry trends nationally, competitor landscape, and market dynamics & customer preferences within the Territory that may impact the business and the Region's sales plan specifically.
  • Regularly monitor the Territory's key distributor(s)' performance against the Region's annual business plan and provide a monthly standardized report to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Audit accounts for pricing surveys using available software to document price points on the shelf and communicate the same to the Regional Sales Director in monthly reports.
  • Know and adhere to dollar budgets applicable to the Role.
  • Communicate daily with the distributors in the market to ensure issues within your Territory are resolved promptly.
  • Own Your Business
  • Know the sales plan for the Territory as set forth in the Region's annual plan.
  • Deliver the target volumes and distribution goals as stated in your personal goal statement and the Region's annual business plan for the Territory.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director on creating the annual business plan.
  • Identify non-traditional account opportunities to connect with "Doers" in target demographics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Territory's distributors to ensure optimal product distribution.
  • Collaborate with distributors to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely product delivery.
  • Conduct regular meetings and training sessions with the Territory's distributors to provide product updates, sales strategies, and promotional initiatives.
  • Manage the Territory's sales and distributor budget and coordinate activities with marketing resources.
  • Coordinate execution of marketing programs with the Best Day Brewing Sales and Marketing Teams and distributor(s) within the Territory.
  • Implement activity plans for each key distributor within the Territory, ensuring clear and measurable objectives to deliver the distribution and ROS targets.
  • Ensure execution of all marketing programs within retail accounts located in the Territory.
  • Ensure execution of all chain programs in the Territory and authorizations through distributor execution.
  • Place POS (Point of Sale) items in retail accounts within the Territory.
  • Conduct promotions and demos at natural food stores and premier specialty grocers located within the Territory.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences held within the Territory or sponsored by the Territory's distributor(s) or partners on behalf of Best Day Brewing.
  • Grow Your Business
  • Identify and prospect sales opportunities at potential & existing customer accounts and pursue placements at such accounts through effective selling techniques.
  • Regularly connect with key distribution and retail partners within the Territory to foster relationships and expand Best Day Brewing's market share.
  • Deliver an average of 10 cases of samples per month to strategic brand and property partners located within the Territory.
