The Technical Writer's role is to help set the vision for the user experience through creating content that helps our internal and external users have a positive experience using our platform.The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology's South San Francisco Headquarters.United States citizenship required due to restrictions on access to certain data.Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit and publish documentation for code, release notes, content creation pipelines, and user-facing products.
• Define and drive technical content plans and evaluate and select platform solutions for content delivery to internal and external users.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and field support engineers to gather and validate technical information.
• Be a stakeholder in the style guide that drives consistent visual and functional documentation standards across products.Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical writer, product manager, engineering, developer relations, solutions architect, or field/support engineering background.
  • Strong understanding of Technical Writing principles that you can demonstrate through past writing samples.
  • Strong knowledge of content development cycles, documentation best practices, and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in a simplified manner.
  • Great listener and designer who knows how to guide cross-functional stakeholders to success.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and convey changes in priorities and expected delivery schedule to partner teams.
  • Ability to work with export-controlled technology.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with designing and leading content strategy projects across organizations.
    • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
    • Experience using LLMs such as Chat GPT to expand and polish documentation.
    • Experience with technical writing for map-making and geospatial tools pipelines, or 3D content creation pipelines.$110,000 - $182,000 a yearThe above range is specific to CALIFORNIA and may not be applicable to other locations. The pay scale for this role is between $110,000 - $182,000.
