Key Responsibilities:

? Lead Project Accounting Team

? Assist CFO with Project Reports as requested.

? Understand all aspects of Project Accounting and how it affects the General Ledger

? Coordinate Deltek Vision training from Project set up to Closing Projects



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? This position is expected to gain exposure and training in all areas of Project Accounting. Summary of work performed will be prepared including documentation of procedures, recommendations and significant control points and weaknesses.

? Approve New Projects for entry and review job costing departments

? Ensure completion of project billings and collections.

? Review and Post AR entries including cash receipts, voids, credits, and unapplied

? Prepare month end closing reports such as backlog, WIP.

? Keep up-to-date with Deltek Vision accounting software and review new products that will improve accounting procedures.

? Hiring and training of accounting staff.

? Scheduling work loads for available personnel while leaving time for vacations, sick leave and other absences.

? Maintaining proper staff size.

? Ensuring that staff is effectively and efficiently using their time.



Education, Experience & Knowledge:

? Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.

? 5-7 years accounting experience.

? Architectural/Engineering/Construction or similar industry experience preferred.

? Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge to the accounting work to be performed.

? At least 2 years of Managerial Experience of at least 2 subordinates.

? Working knowledge of Deltek Vision software strongly preferred.

? Must possess Advanced Excel knowledge using VLookups and Macros.
